What it is for

Nervousness is treated as the problem, so most courses spend the day on confidence. But an audience stops listening because a talk had no structure, not because the speaker's hands shook — and structure can be taught in an afternoon.

How it runs

  • Teach the structure first and the delivery second. A clear line of argument fixes more nervousness than any breathing exercise, because most of the fear is of losing the thread in public.
  • Record every attempt and watch it back in pairs. People correct what they see themselves doing far faster than what they are told they do.
  • Finish with the hostile question, rehearsed. It is the moment every speaker fears and the one nobody practises.

What people leave with

  • Participants leave with a reusable structure for the talk they actually have to give next month.
