Privacy Policy

What this site collects

Nothing, by browsing. There is no analytics script, no tag manager and no advertising pixel on any page. No cookie is set for tracking, and no profile of you is built or bought.

The one exception is when you choose to contact me. If you send the form, or email or message me directly, I receive what you wrote along with the address you wrote from — because that is how a reply reaches you.

The chat box

The assistant in the corner of the screen is not a chatbot service and is not connected to one. It is a search over this website's own pages, running inside your browser: what you type never leaves the page, is not sent to me or to anyone else, is not stored, and is gone the moment you close the tab. I cannot see the questions people ask it.

The videos

The home and About pages show a wall of YouTube videos, and this is the only place anything on this site involves another company. The picture on each card is a still image stored on this site, not loaded from YouTube — so simply looking at the page contacts nobody.

If you press play on one, that card is replaced by a YouTube player and your browser connects to Google for the first time — at which point their privacy policy applies to that connection, not this one. The player used is the youtube-nocookie.com one, which does not set advertising cookies until a video is played. Not pressing play means none of this happens.

What is stored in your browser

One small value, kept on your own device and never sent anywhere. It remembers whether you chose dark mode, so the site does not flash white at you on the next visit. That is the entire list.

It is browser storage rather than a cookie, which means it is never attached to a request and never reaches any server, including mine. Clearing your site data removes it, and the site works normally without it. Your language choice is not stored at all — it is simply which page you are on.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served as static files from a commercial hosting provider. Like every web host, it keeps short-lived request logs — the page requested, the time, the browser's user-agent and the IP address the request came from — for security and abuse prevention. I do not use those logs to analyse visitors and I do not combine them with anything else.

Messages you send me

A message reaches my email inbox and stays there. It is not added to a mailing list, not passed to anyone else, and not used for anything except replying to you and, if we work together, doing the work. If you would like a message and its reply deleted, ask and they will be.

If the contact form is configured to use a form-delivery service, that service processes your message on its way to my inbox and its own privacy terms apply to that step. Where no service is configured, the form simply opens your own email program and nothing passes through this site at all.

Your rights

• Ask what I hold about you. In practice it is your emails and nothing else.
• Ask for it to be corrected, or deleted. Deletion is done unless a live contract requires the record.
• Withdraw contact at any time — replying “stop” is enough, and there is nothing to unsubscribe from because there is no list.

Children

This site is a professional portfolio aimed at people hiring for work. It is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone knowingly.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts doing something this page does not describe — an analytics tag, an embedded map, a hosted font — this page is updated in the same change, and the date above moves with it.
